In my spare time I like to exercise body and mind and really enjoy being part of the Cambridge rowing club, so at least three mornings a week I get to see the sun come up, while sitting on my bottom, going backwards at speed (with no rear vision mirror). I also go to the gym, garden, enjoy doing crafts and have a monthly stall where I spend time with my Mum selling sock monkeys. I like to have a balanced life and family and friends are a very important part of that too.
I am passionate about education and the difference that I can make. I have been teaching for nearly 30 years with the last 16½ being at Leamington School in Cambridge. I feel fortunate to have worked with many wonderful people over my career and have had the pleasure of being part of many children’s lives. One of the biggest joys that I get is the diversity and challenge that it brings, the ever changing landscape of the profession and the people that I get to meet along the way. I am very excited about being part of the RTLB team, of getting to know you, working alongside you and learning from you.
I am looking forward to meeting you in the new year.
Regards
Angela Jenkins

RTLB Ngaruawahia Primary School
I am a registered educational psychologist who has worked in the Ngaruawahia area as an RTLB since its inception in 1998. Prior to this, I taught extensively in primary, intermediate and secondary schools in the greater Waikato, as well as teaching a satellite class in a special needs school and successfully running an alternative learning centre for recidivist students. Along with three colleagues, I am a co-founder of the RTLB journal, Kairaranga, and continue to play a pivotal role on the editorial board and editing team.

RTLB Morrinsville Intermediate School
I have been an RTLB for the last 8 years, all of which have been working in the Morrinsville team. Prior to my role as an RTLB, I was a classroom teacher in Morrinsville, Ohaupo and Hamilton schools, mainly teaching across Years 4 - 8.
I enjoy my work as an RTLB and working collaboratively with teachers, senior staff, parents and other agencies. My own experiences at school led me down the path of teaching and have helped me have an insight into the struggles that some students have at school and home. My girls and my music are my other passions, and I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my 'huge' extended family :)

RTLB Morrinsville Intermediate School and Practice Leader North Team
Kia Ora,
My name is Delwyn McClelland and I am a Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour in the Morrinsville Team. I have Bachelor of Teaching with a major in Professional Education (University of Waikato) and I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Specialist Education (University of Canterbury). Before commencing in my role as an RTLB I was a New Entrant Teacher. I have always had a passion for working with children and especially children with diverse needs. I thoroughly enjoy the role of an RTLB as I am able to work alongside so many passionate teachers and wonderful children and caring families. I am very passionate about making a difference for children and believe that education is an integral part of enabling children to reach their full potential. I enjoy the challenge of being able to motivate learners and develop nurturing environments where children can thrive.
Outside of teaching I play basketball, volleyball and enjoy walking and running. I also enjoy cooking, renovation, fishing, spending time at the beach and spending time with family and friends. I grew up in Morrinsville and have a strong link to the caring community, which I enjoy being able to give back to through my role supporting the young people of our town.

Kia ora tatou,
My name is Deidre McNamara. I am a proud member of the RTLB team based at Morrinsville Intermediate.
I am from a large Irish family with whānau links to Tūkorehe Marae in Ōhau, Levin. I have grown up in Hamilton and have travelled extensively, living and working in London and Waihi. The majority of my life I have lived in Hamilton.
In the past 26 years I have had a varied career in the Education and Policing sectors, working as a General Duties officer in Hamilton and as a Police Education Officer in Hamilton, Ngaruawahia and Huntly. My teaching experience has been predominantly with Year 7 & 8 students at St. Columba’s Catholic school in Hamilton.
I have been involved in leadership opportunities in both careers, working as a Kāhui Ako member for the Catholic schools in Hamilton and more recently as a member of the Universal Design for Learning Community of Learning. My passion is to engage all learners emotionally, cognitively and behaviourally. I do this by forming and sustaining high trust relationships.
I am conscious of respecting and showing empathy in an inclusive setting. I strongly believe in leading by example and I have a proven history of identifying and supporting students with barriers to their learning.
I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Education, with Distinction, as an online student at the University of Massey together with my field work as an RTLB.
Ngā mihi,
Deidre McNamara

Tena koutou Katoa, I am very excited to be a new member of the Huntly/TeKauwhata RTLB Team.
My passion for people has seen me become a teacher, and travel the world. I have 32 years teaching experience across Primary School level in South Africa and New Zealand. For the past 13 years I taught at Huntly Primary School where I was a classroom teacher and Deputy Principal. I particularly enjoy working with young people, helping them to make sense of the world around them – guiding them to be the best they can be. I am looking forward to working with the tamariki, whaanau and Kaiako and continue building strong relationships.
I am very fortunate to have a supportive family. We immigrated to New Zealand in 2009 and made Hamilton home. I am married to Murray, who is a Technology Teacher at Morrinsville College. We have two adult children Murray Junior and Anika. Anika and her husband Kyle had our first grandchild Aria who is 17 months old. We are thoroughly enjoying being grandparents. Family is very important to me and together we enjoy getting outdoors for walks, bike riding, day trips, going to the beach, swimming and camping. I have a passion for cooking, baking, reading, and gardening.
Kia Kaha!
